Israel’s Iron Fist Light Decoupled (IF-LD), Active Protection system
The Ministry of Defense Production and Procurement Department has completed the tender for an active defense system and has selected the Iron Fist Light Decoupled (IF-LD), developed by Elbit Systems to protect the new Eitan AFVs and the IDF’s D9 Caterpillar. The scope of the tender is estimated at hundreds of millions of shekels and IMOD will acquire hundreds of active defense systems over the next decade.
A light and compact system for the protection against short range ATRs, ATGM The all-in-one unit (sensors, main computer and launcher) is easy and simple to integrate and includes bolt-on, no penetration to vehicle structure and two independent sensing techniques: RF and passive IR.
