Airstrikes inflict heavy casualties on Taliban in Faryab, destroy strategic compound of the group

The security forces conducted airstrikes in northern Faryab province killing or wounding at least 26 Taliban militants.
The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said the security forces conducted the airstrikes in Bulcheragh district of Faryab.
The statement further added that the airstrikes killed 17 Taliban militants and wounded 9 others.
Furthermore, the 209th Shaheen Corps said the airstrikes also destroyed a strategic compound of the group and some weapons, munitions and vehicles.
The Afghan forces repulsed a coordinated Taliban attack on a security post in Ghazni province.
The 203rd Thunder Corps in a statement said the Taliban militants launched a coordinated attack on Nanai security post in Andar district.
The statement further added that the security forces repulsed the attack killing at least 6 militants.
Furthermore, the 203rd Thunder Corps said the security forces also wounded 2 Taliban militants during the clash.
Meanwhile, the 203rd Thunder Corps said the security forces killed a Taliban militant and destroyed a vehicle in Machlagho Band area of Ahmadabad district in Paktiya.
The security forces also killed a Taliban militant in the provincial capital of Logar province and confiscated an Ak-47 assault rifle.
The Taliban group has not commented in this regard so far.
The Afghan forces killed Taliban militants during the operations which they conducted in Uruzgan province.
The 205th Atal Corps of the Afghan National Army in a statement said the security forces conducted operation in Surkhab and Kochkin areas of Tarinkot.
The statement further added that the security forces killed 7 Taliban militants during the operations.
Furthermore, the security forces destroyed 5 weapons of the militants and two motorcycles during the same operations.
The Taliban group has not commented regarding the operation so far.
