New York Attorney General Letitia James has announced a settlement with Batar US, a right-wing Jewish group that she accused of trying to intimidate pro-Palestinian activists. The group gained attention last year for claiming to compile names of campus protesters against the Gaza war and urging deportation. Thousands of New York City nurses were back on the picket lines as they walked out for a second day from their jobs at some of the city’s leading hospitals. The union on Tuesday also accused one hospital, Mount Sinai, of illegally firing three nurses.
