Meanwhile, Homeland Security in a social media post blamed Democrats for a shutdown that it says “has led to HOURS long security lines at airports across the country.” Most of the more than 260,000 employees at DHS continue to work but are going unpaid. Democrats say they won't fund the department until the Trump administration makes reforms to immigration enforcement.
