A Belgian collector who put up a series of World War II photographs showing the final moments of 200 Greeks executed by a Nazi firing squad for online auction has signed a preliminary agreement with the Greek Culture Ministry. The ministry says it's seeking to obtain the photos from the collector, who has now withdrawn the entire collection from sale. Greece has declared the photos part of Greek heritage. It has not specified how it intends to obtain the pictures nor has it provided details of the preliminary agreement signed on Friday.
