India has hosted a meeting of Arab foreign ministers to deepen trade, energy and strategic cooperation. India and the United Arab Emirates co-chaired the talks, with all 22 Arab League member states attending. This was the first such gathering in New Delhi since the inaugural forum in Bahrain in 2016. On Saturday, India's Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar highlighted the global order's transformation due to conflicts, especially in the Middle East. An analyst noted India's efforts to position itself as a reliable partner amid geopolitical rivalries. India's trade with Arab League countries exceeds $240 billion annually.
