U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer says his country doesn't have to choose between relations with the U.S. and China. He made the remarks Wednesday as he began a four-day trip to China to repair ties and expand opportunities for British companies. Starmer is the first U.K. prime minister to visit Beijing since 2018. The relationship has been strained over concerns about Chinese espionage, support for Russia and the crackdown on civil liberties in Hong Kong. Starmer is bringing a delegation of over 50 British business leaders. He will hold meetings with Chinese leaders in Beijing before heading to Shanghai, the nation's financial capital.
