Authorities in New Zealand have resumed a search for six people presumed killed in a landslide at a popular beach campsite. Heavy rain caused the massive slip at Beachside Holiday Park in Mount Maunganui on Thursday. The missing include a Swedish tourist and a teenager originally from Italy. The search resumed Monday after being suspended due to unstable ground. Police Superintendent Tim Anderson said the ground is saturated and needs days of fine weather. The storm also killed three others on the North Island. Questions have arisen about whether evacuation orders should have been given. An independent inquiry is planned.
