NATIONAL SUMMARY
Rain and thunderstorms, some heavy, will occur across much
of Texas tomorrow. Across central Texas, slow-moving
thunderstorms can bring flooding downpours. Farther east,
spotty afternoon thunderstorms will pop up across portions
of the Southeast, mainly along the Gulf coast. More
widespread thunderstorms can occur in the Florida Peninsula.
Meanwhile, a zone of high pressure will remain over the
Great Lakes, promoting comfortable weather and plenty of
sunshine from the Midwest to the Northeast and mid-Atlantic.
Temperatures will remain below the historical averages
across these regions. Extreme heat will continue across
interior portions of the Southwest, while afternoon
thunderstorms can occur mainly in the higher elevations from
Colorado to Idaho and Montana.
