Backers of Ohio's fall redistricting amendment are asking the Ohio Supreme Court to order a rewrite of what they contend “may be the most biased, inaccurate, deceptive, and unconstitutional ballot language” the state has ever seen. Citizens Not Politicians and two individuals made the request in a lawsuit filed Monday against the Ohio Ballot Board and Republican Secretary of State Frank LaRose. The board approved wording Friday that describes the proposed constitutional amendment to “ban partisan gerrymandering” as creating a 15-member citizen panel that's “required to gerrymander” Ohio's political districts. LaRose defended the approved language as thorough and accurate.
