It was another busy week for the UK economy in which we got fresh data on inflation and another interest rate decision from the Bank of England. Drexel University researchers recently reported on the science behind its special concrete, that can warm itself up when it snows, or as temperatures approach freezing. In a paper published in the American Society for Civil Engineering’s Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering, the group took the important step of proving its viability in the natural environment. According to Bloomberg's sources, Russia and China have sealed a deal with Iran-backed Houthis to allow their commercial vessels to transit the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden without fear of drone and or missile attacks. One of the sources said China and Russia reached a deal with diplomats in Oman with Mohammed Abdel Salam, one of the Houthis' top political leaders.
