BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Amsterdam man has been sentenced in connection to two robberies in Saratoga County. The county district attorney's office said Daniel McKay, 41, will serve between three and 11 years in prison.
He plead guilty to robbery and grand larceny in January. He admitted to entering a Ben & Jerry's in Saratoga Springs and a Stewart's Shop in Malta in September.
McKay claimed he had a weapon and demanded cash before running away. He was arrested later the same day.
No one was hurt. Orders of protection were issued for employees at both shops.
