BALLSTON SPA (NEWS10)-- 112th Assembly District democrat candidate Joe Seeman is taking part in a town hall event on Tuesday as he looks to unseat incumbent Mary Beth Walsh, R-Ballston Spa. All residents are invited to take part in the discussion, regardless of their political affiliation.
The event is free, open to the public, and starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Milton Community Center. Walsh won't be in attendance due to a prior engagement.
Seeman is making his second attempt to depose Walsh and some campaign policies of his include health care for all, building a solid economy, addressing climate change, empowering voters, and more. Participants can ask questions, share concerns and opinions, and hear additional concerns from other community members.
Walsh began serving as the 112th Assembly District Member in 2017 and said in an email she plans to continue meeting with constituents and attending events to keep addressing the needs of those she serves. Her campaign focuses on advocating for children's futures, creating inclusive environments for all, revitalizing the economy, fighting for middle-class families, and more.
Walsh added she views every event she attends as a chance to speak with constituents who fall on all sides of the political spectrum. "Between these events and the constituents I regularly speak to at my office I am well aware of the issues facing the 112th Assembly District," she said.
