The new Maruti Dzire is expected to share most of its features with the upcoming Swift, including a 9.0-inch touchscreen, steering-mounted controls, auto climate control, and keyless entry.
However, what sets it apart is the addition of a sunroof, a feature not commonly found in this segment. The cabin design, materials, and switchgear will resemble those of the Baleno, providing a premium feel.
While the Dzire shares its body panels with the Swift, it sports a straighter roofline and a redesigned rear section. The interior will feature lighter color materials, brushed aluminum accents, and faux wood inserts for a sophisticated look.
Powering the Dzire will be the 1.2-litre Z Series petrol engine shared with the Swift, producing 82hp and 108Nm of torque. It will be offered with both manual and AMT transmissions, with a CNG variant expected to follow soon after.
With prices expected to range between Rs 7 lakh to 10 lakh, the new Dzire will compete with rivals like the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor.
Notably, Tata Tigor recently introduced an automatic CNG model, adding to the competition in the segment.
The new Maruti Dzire is poised to redefine the compact sedan segment with its feature-packed offering and the inclusion of a sunroof, a first in its class. With its combination of style, performance, and affordability, the Dzire is set to make a significant impact in the Indian automotive market.
