EMPORIA (KSNT) - A former City of Emporia utility supervisor was arrested after allegedly stealing from the city.
On Monday, April 29 the City of Emporia issued a press release regarding the arrest. According to the city, an investigation began after local police were notified of suspicious activity on city property on April 16.
Detectives found probable cause to arrest a 51-year-old man from Lebo on suspicion of felony theft, according to the press release. He is no longer employed by the city.
The investigation of this case led detectives to other locations in Kansas and as far away as Iowa. Anyone with information to share with police is asked to contact the Emporia Police Department Investigations Division at 620 343-4219 or Lyon County Crime Stoppers at 620 342-2273.
