BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Municipal General Election is set for Saturday, April 27. Secretary of State Nancy Landry reminds residents of the early voting period before heading to the polls.
Early voting for the election will be held from Saturday, April 13 to Saturday, April 20. Sunday, April 14 is excluded from this period. Voting hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Residents who decide to early vote are encouraged to use the GeauxVote mobile app to find parish early voting locations, the Election Day voting site or view their sample ballot, according to a news release.
Residents should bring their ID with them to vote, whether that is a Louisiana driver's license, Louisiana special ID card, digital license via LA Wallet or a 'generally recognized' picture identification with name and signature, according to a news release.
