A court in Moscow, three days after the deadly attack that resulted in the deaths of 137 people, accused four Tajik nationals of “committing terrorist acts” in Russia in connection with this case, which could carry a sentence of “life imprisonment.”
The preliminary court in the Basmanny district of Moscow issued arrest warrants for four individuals on Sunday, March 24th, in connection with the bloody attack on Friday. The detained individuals have been accused by this court of committing terrorist acts and are scheduled to stand trial by March 22nd next year.
In a statement by this court, it is mentioned that the suspects in this case are Tajik citizens residing in Russia. The suspects are Dalerjon Mirzoyev, Saidakrom Rajabaliyev, Shamsuddin Faridoni, and Muhammad Sabur Fayzov.
Late on Friday, international media reported on a bloody attack on a concert hall in Moscow, resulting in at least 137 deaths and dozens more injured. It is noteworthy that ISIS claimed responsibility for this attack.
Following this attack, Russia’s security services announced the arrest of 11 individuals on charges of involvement in the Friday attack. A statement by this security agency stated: “11 individuals, including all four terrorists who carried out the attack, have been arrested.”
ISIS’s attack in the heart of Russia has been met with widespread international reactions, with some American senators expressing concerns about ISIS’s potential capability to attack America.
