No, Hannah Hidalgo is not transferring despite what you may have heard.
The rumors surrounding the women’s college basketball portal have gotten so out of hand that Notre Dame star Hannah Hidalgo took to social media to clarify that she is NOT transferring.
In case you haven’t been keeping up with all the movement, the women’s basketball transfer portal is absolutely bananas right now. With over 1,000 players looking at new destinations — including a whopping seven players at Oregon State! — the rumors are swirling about who could be next.
It’s gotten so out of hand that Notre Dame’s Hannah Hidalgo took to social media to tell everyone that she was not, in fact, transferring. Hidalgo shared a playful boomerang of a selfie to her Instagram story with Notre Dame head coach Niele Ivey as proof she’s staying where is.
Also, during an Instagram live session, she shared these words:
“There’s some news going around that I’m in the portal, but I’m not in the portal…nobody else wants me. Only Notre Dame wants me….
I love it here. The academics, the people…me and [Olivia Miles] are going to go crazy. You feel me? [Kylee Watson] is going to be back. [Emma Risch] is going to be back.”
Hannah Hidalgo is on IG Live reiterating she is NOT in the Transfer Portal.
