OAKLAND — A 24-year-old man was shot Monday night in West Oakland, authorities said.
The man was in stable condition at a hospital where he is being treated for a wound to his leg.
The shooting happened about 7:13 p.m. Monday in the 3100 block of Filbert Street.
Police said the man was standing outside when a car stopped and the two occupants got out and began shooting at the man. The suspects then fled in the vehicle southbound on Filbert Street.
The wounded man was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
Dozens of shell casings were recovered at the scene, authorities said.
