East Timor’s cardinal has said Pope Francis’s upcoming visit to the country is not only a moment of joy for local Catholics, but also represents an opportunity to send a message of peace and reconciliation after their independence.
“We’re in favor of life, and also of all those instruments which can help to affirm the right to life, above all for women who find themselves in difficulty,” said Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
