Electric scrubbers are one of the easiest, most efficient ways to clean almost any item on your list. From scrubbing the shower to ensuring grout lines are as bright as possible or getting stuck on food bits from the oven, an electric scrubbing brush or power scrubber can detail clean without the need for elbow grease. I've noticed spin brushes going viral on social media, and I was curious as to just how much easier they could make my cleaning routine. From here on out, I'd like to refer to the best electric spin scrubbers as Heaven-sent devices because they effectively clean with less effort on my own behalf. 

The best electric scrubbers come in all sizes, with various attachments to clean surfaces, small and large. Most are relatively affordable too. To determine the best electric spin scrubbers, I tasked several models through dirty bathrooms, kitchens, and even the car. The best electric spin scrubber is the the Leebein Electric Spin Scrubber because it offers versatility for a whole-home clean with multiple scrubbing speeds, various attachments, and adjustable handles and brush head angles. Meanwhile, the handheld Oraimo Kitchen Electric Spin Scrubber was perfect for cleaning tight areas and countertops and is also the most affordable option we tried.

Regarding cleaning options, the Leebein Electric Spin Scrubber provides you with the most cleaning heads of any other scrubber, allowing you to tackle more surfaces. The angling head option also means you can reach more dirt and grime, even in hard-to-reach places. 

It was also the easiest electric scrubber to use, with a comfortable handle, easy-to-reach off/on button, and a sturdy locking frame. I liked to add pressure as needed to get the stability for a deep clean in the most stubborn of areas (the tub, behind the toilet for little boys with bad aim). When I cleaned my tub, which is chronically caked in dirt and grime — I got it shining clean with little effort, a first for me! Meanwhile, sticky spots on my kitchen floor were a breeze, they came clean, and I didn't even have to bend or scrub to free up drips of service.

The Leebein came with 8 cleaning heads, including dish scrubbing and polishing options, which no other electric scrubber offered. However, it had no storage options or a bag to store the cleaning heads. 

The scrubber extends from 12 to 54 inches to switch from close-up cleaning to floors and tubs, and the power button can be turned on and off from any length. The ability to angle the head is also incredibly convenient; it securely locks in place to provide leverage while cleaning.

Best budget

The Oraimo Electric Kitchen Spin Scrubber is a great way to get a close-up clean in your home. You can switch between grout, cooked-on gunk, microwave splatter, and more with multiple brush heads, including non-scratch materials. The long battery life also means you can clean the kitchen multiple times over on a single charge, and it has three speed settings. The low speed is good for polishing, while higher speeds are best for stuck-on gunk. When my kids managed to empty half a toothpaste tube onto the sink, the dried-up crusted paste was no match for the high-speed angled brush. 

Despite having  "kitchen" in the product name, the Oraimo also worked great in the bathroom and to clean the car. The lightweight handle also offers gentle power. (Push too hard, and it will turn off.) It has a short handle, though, making it not ideal for floors or other low surfaces. This electric cleaner came with cleaning heads for hardcore scrubbing and polishing. It came with five cleaner heads to cover a range of uses: a flat brush for general cleaning, a pointed brush for details and corners, a scouring pad, a soft cloth brush, and a cleaning ball. And because it's waterproof, you can clean dishes and more without worrying you'll short it out with a single splash. On other cleaners, the brushes can get wet, but power supply itself should not be submerged. Each attachment fits into a provided mesh bag, which lets everything dry.

Most versatile

We saw the LABIGO Electric Spin Scrubber LA1 Pro Cordless Spin Scrubber go viral on social media, so we had to try it. It offers a low-effort, highly efficient way to clean your home. You can choose the combination that works for each cleaning surface with three adjustable height options and four brush heads, including wide and detailed cleaning heads. The storage hanging hook is a nice touch, too, allowing you to hang the entire device when the cleaning is done. The charger with an included power block allowed for quick charge time.

I could clean the entire bathroom, kitchen, and more on a single 90-minute charge. While it cleaned great, I had difficulty swapping out the various cleaning heads, and one brush even popped off when I applied too much pressure.

Unlike the Leebein, the LA1 Pro model, the head does not adjust and only has one-speed setting: 380 RPM. However, other Labigo models like the LABIGO LA2 let you adjust the cleaning angle and have two power speeds. However, we like the stability that adds leverage while you clean, which you may not get with a tilting head.

Best for detail cleaning

The handheld IEZFIX Electric Spin Scrubber has four interchangeable heads for your cleaning needs that can be used on grout, countertops, small cleaning areas, and more. 

 The "boost" button was great for an extra burst of cleaning power to conquer tough stains or continue to hold it for additional power.

I like how the rubber handle gave me a steady grip while I cleaned, and a rubber closure area keeps the charging port from getting wet. The device lasts up to 90 minutes for lengthy cleaning sessions, and recharges quickly with a full-block charging cord. The IEZFIX cleaner sits at a fixed 90 degrees and doesn't adjust like some of the other scrubbers we tested. I had to twist and turn my wrist to get a deep clean in small places. The brush edges can be used on grout, small cleaning areas, and more. A bag also helps keep all the attachments gathered and in one place.

I also tried the Rubbermaid Reveal Power Scrubber with Multi-Purpose & Grout Head, which also was great for cleaning small areas like grout lines or around a faucet, but it reminded me of an electric toothbrush, just slightly larger. It also requires batteries, and I preferred the ease of rechargeable options. I also found it strange that while buying specialty replacement heads like a grout brush or scouring pad was easy, getting a new standard multi-purpose required buying a new unit. 

Most powerful

Casabella's Power Spin Scrubber is the most powerful scrubber thanks to its fast 420 RPM and one of the longest battery runtimes. It has four brush heads: a large and small flat brush, an angled brush for corners and crevices, and a dome brush for contoured surfaces. I would have loved to see a soft-microfiber attachment that some of the other power scrubbers offered. Nevertheless, I found plenty for this mighty spinner to clean. From scrubbing my tub to giving new life to grout lines on my kitchen floor rental, it quickly and effectively got through some of my least favorite chores, with the added bonus of minimizing how often I had to bend over or squat low. 

The spin scrubber has a three-part design that snaps together, including an extension rod that expands up to 47.5 inches. You'll want to grasp with both hands to maintain control when using the extender. It's easy enough to switch among the brushes, and the main head is adjustable. The device has one power speed controlled via a power button on the lower handle. It doesn't have a storage bag to keep accessories, but it has a hanging hook that could go in a utility closet or over a towel bar. 

Be careful about applying too much extra pressure of your own; I accidentally frayed the pointed brush, but its still excellent at providing targeted cleaning to small spaces and corners, like my aforementioned grout lines. What to look for

When searching for an electric scrubber, consider your cleaning needs and what you will use it for. Features like size, versatility, and more can all come into play with its abilities. 

• Brush attachments: You will want a variety of brush shapes and sizes to clean different surfaces from porcelain tubs to grout. Choose between small, dense, and soft brushes to get the largest possible range. For instance, a rough or dense brush can help scrub stuck-on dirt and grime, such as a dirty oven or stubborn soap scum. A softer or washcloth-type scrubber can polish glass, clean your fridge doors, and perform more gentle tasks. The more heads an electric scrubber comes with, the more you will be able to clean (with less effort on your part.) 
• Handle length: Electric scrubbers are available in handheld and extendable options that let you clean high up or your floors without bending over. Consider the difference between cleaning a floor with a full-size mop vs. a toothbrush — you want the faster and more effective option. A lengthening brush can also mean less leaning, whether you're cleaning the tub or floor grout but will require you to use both hands. However, if you are only looking to use it for close-up cleaning jobs, this may not be a requirement. 
• Head position: Some electric brushes have a fixed head, while others are adjustable. There is value in either, depending on your needs. For instance, adjustable heads are great for reaching tricky curves or corners. In contrast, fixed heads provide better leverage and pressure, which are ideal for stuck-on dirt or gunk. 
• Battery life and charge time: Each rechargeable electric spin brush takes two to four hours to charge. Most lasted around 90 minutes but that number can vary based on the speed and amount of pressure applied. 

How we tested electric scrubbers

I tested electric scrubbers on multiple surfaces, angles, and heights. We started with a very dirty bathroom and attached similar cleaning heads to each electric scrubber. Each device was used on the bathtub with sectioned-off areas, the floor, and the sink. Then, cleaning was done the same way in the kitchen, on different surfaces of floors, and finally, in the car. We trialed each scrubber through various stains and gunk to see how each brush performed against each surface. 

We also spoke with Joy Moyer, a professional cleaner and owner of Suzy Homemakers, which services homes and businesses with their cleaning needs in Manhattan, Kansas. Moyer said eclectic cleaning brushes are a great option when wanting to save yourself some effort. She suggested using them every few weeks to avoid things from getting too dirty in between cleaning sessions.
