Tatcha skincare review: Beauty editors share the best Tatcha products for glowy, hydrated skin

With deeply nourishing squalane and peach extract to assist in moisture retention, it's no surprise that we named this product the best lip mask in our guide to the best lip balms. The gel texture makes it the perfect option for an overnight lip mask, yet light enough for daytime wear. You can even wear it over lipstick for a glossy sheen. 

If you have sensitive skin, this lip mask is for you because it's formulated without known irritants like synthetic fragrances, sulfates, or parabens.

"Tatcha's Dewy Skin Cream is a semi-thick moisturizer that's long-lasting and gentle on skin. I've used it as both a day cream and a night cream since it keeps my skin plump and hydrated for long periods of time — that is, unless I'm going through a dry spell due to weather, in which case I find that I need to layer this moisturizer with at least one serum and a few dots of eye cream.

The actual lotion is purple because the formula contains antioxidant-rich purple rice. It's fun to look at, but the color itself doesn't make much of a difference once applied. I had hoped it would cancel out some of the redness in my skin, but that wasn't the case. "If your skin is acne-prone or even on the oily side, Tatcha's Water Cream is definitely the moisturizer for you. It's great for both day and night use because it has a gel-like consistency that feels lightweight on the skin.

Packed with Japanese Wild Rose and Leopard Lily extracts, the formulation is designed for those with acne-prone skin. Both extracts work together to improve the appearance of pores and texture and limit oil production. "This overnight treatment is described as a calming serum-in-moisturizer. It has a thick, creamy texture and is formulated to reduce redness and increase hydration. It's also meant to give you a more even skin tone.

I haven't been using it long enough to notice dramatic results, but the consistency is super soothing and my skin does feel much softer to the touch by morning. "This foaming enzyme powder is the only exfoliator I use anymore. Of the four options you can choose from, I have the "gentle" variation, which was specifically formulated for dry skin, and though I don't use it every day, it's not so abrasive that you shouldn't.

The polish comes out in a fine powder, which can either be rubbed directly onto your face or lathered between your hands to create more of a creamy foam than an exfoliating treatment. The papaya enzymes and rice bran help to lift and remove dirt, makeup, and dry skin cells to create a clean and pure canvas. "I thought eye creams were a scam until I tried this one. My under-eye area gets very dry in the winter, but this formula works wonders to hydrate deeply and brighten up my dark circles. The texture is very thick, almost solid, but it melts into the skin easily so you don't have to do much to rub it in. I find that it leaves almost like a pearlescent reflective finish that makes my skin look healthier, but it's by no means shimmery.

It's as hydrating as a buttery moisturizer, so I'll wash my face and just swipe this all over, not even bothering to rub it in before I get in bed at night or leave in the morning. It leaves a nice sheen behind, but if you already have oily skin, I recommend rubbing it in so as not to make your face look slick.
