ArmInfo. The Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia is organizing a procession on May 1 - International Labor and Workers Day.
According to the press service of the Confederation, this year the
procession will be held under the motto "Decent Work".
The purpose of this non-political march is to once again raise issues
and concerns related to improving working conditions. The procession
will begin on May 1 at 12:00 from Abovyan Park (the area adjacent to
the house-museum of Hrant Matevosyan).
"Many workers in Armenia are not aware of their rights and
responsibilities and very often suffer due to the lack of such
knowledge. In addition to ignorance, many workers often simply accept
the violation of their labor rights. This march will be an important
platform for workers to further strengthen the call for decent
working conditions. We call on all trade union activists to join us.
This is a day of remembrance of the power of unity and the unique
form of constant struggle for dignity in the workplace," says
President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia Helen
Manaseryan.
The Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia calls on trade unionists
to take part in this significant event, assuring that this march is
an opportunity for the workers of Armenia to unite in solidarity.
