Bomb Blast Near Egypt’s Giza Pyramids Kills at Least 10
At least 10 people were killed and 13 wounded after a bomb exploded on Thursday near the pyramids of Giza, as Egyptian security forces attempted to raid a suspected hideout of Islamic militants, the Egyptian newspaper Al Ahram reported.
Seven of those killed were policemen and three were civilians.
Two of the 13 people wounded in the blast are in a critical condition. Suspected militants were preparing explosives inside the home, FoxNews reported citing officials.
The interior ministry said police officers, who were seeking to apprehend 'Muslim Brotherhood terrorists', attempted to defuse a time bomb but failed, according to online English-language edition of the Egyptian newspaper.
