MTV Head of Development to Depart, VH1’s Lily Neumeyer to Oversee Both Networks
MTV’s head of development Eli Lehrer is departing the network, the media company announced on Tuesday in a joint statement with VH1.
Lehrer, who was appointed to the position by unscripted head Nina Diaz in December, will be replaced by VH1’s Lily Neumeyer, who will now oversee both networks.
The move is the latest reorganization at the two networks since Chris McCarthy took over as president of MTV, VH1 and Logo in October. MTV’s head of scripted development Mina Lefevre departed the network for Facebook last month.

“Lily is among the sharpest development executives in the industry, with the track record to prove it,” said Diaz in a statement. “She continues to play a big role in driving VH1’s success and I know she’ll bring the same creativity, passion and results to MTV.”

I can’t wait to work with Nina and our incredible team to help build on MTV’s legacy of groundbreaking unscripted programming while continuing to bolster VH1’s slate of hits,” said Neumeyer.
Prior to joining VH1 in July, Neumeyer served as Vice President of Nonfiction and Alternative Programming at A&E. There she developed and executive produced shows including “Duck Dynasty,” “Wahlburgers “and “Nightwatch.”
