Here’s Ronda Rousey’s Motivation to Train Harder Than Anyone Else (Exclusive Video)
Ronda Rousey has a pretty good motivation for trying to train harder than any of her opponents.
“These girls, they’re not just going there trying to win. They’re trying to maim me,” Rousey said in a scene from the upcoming documentary “The Hurt Business” about mixed-martial arts stars like Rousey, Holly Holm, Jon “Bones” Jones and Rashad “Suga” Roussey.
“They want to be the one that, maybe they didn’t beat me, but they gave me a big enough gash on my face where I wouldn’t be able to work in Hollywood.”
Because of this, Rousey said the pressure is on for her to be “as perfect a fighter as possible.”

“It makes it so much more important to me than it is to them, and it’s why I train so much harder than they ever possibly could,” she said. “It’s not a bad thing to be scared — it’s a bad thing to doubt. I’m full of fear, but without any doubts.”
Rousey also vows never to lose again.
“It really feels like a part of you dies and you really go into mourning afterward,” Rousey said. “I absolutely know without a shadow of my doubt that I’ll never have to mourn that piece of myself ever again.”

“The Hurt Business,” which is due to open at the end of September, was directed by Vlad Yudin (“Generation Iron”), with Edwin Mejia of the Vladar Company and Jim Czarnecki (“Fahrenheit 9/11”) producing.
