Stockholm (dpa) - An overwhelming majority of Swedish business leaders say their firms will be worse off if Britain votes to leave the European Union on June 23, a survey published Tuesday showed.More than 80 per cent of Swedish executives surveyed believe a British exit from the EU would have "mainly negative" consequences for the Nordic country‘s industries, financial daily Dagens Industri reported.The Ipsos survey of more than 1,500 business leaders, conducted May 24 to June 16, showed that 10 per cent of respondents said a so-called Brexit "wouldn‘t matter," and another 2 per cent felt the effects would be "mainly positive."Britain is Sweden‘s fourth largest export market.Firms polled ranged from small-sized firms with 10-19 employees to large firms with 200 or more employees.Of the largest firms, 87 per cent said a Brexit would have a mainly negative impact, compared to 80 per cent of small-sized companies.Swedish companies involved in trade, manufacturing and information and communication were the most fearful of the negative effects of a Brexit, according to the survey.
