Pirates finalising terms Mobara, Norodien
Orlando Pirates announced that an agreement has been reached with Ajax Cape Town for the services of Abbubaker Mobara and Riyaad Norodien.
|||Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates Football Club on Monday announced that an agreement has been reached with Ajax Cape Town for the services of Abbubaker Mobara and Riyaad Norodien.
The club has since been granted permission to finalise personal terms with both players. “I am pleased to announce the successful negotiations between ourselves and Ajax Cape Town over the services of Mobara and Norodien,” said club chairman Irvin Khoza.
“We have been given the go-ahead to make contact with both players and finalise personal terms. Obviously, with someone like Mobara currently in Namibia with the South African national team, we will only be able to finalise with him and his representatives when he returns from international duty. However, we will be finalising soon with Norodien.”
Khoza was also able to confirm the capture of Ghanaian forward Bernard Morrison from AS Vita Club. “An agreement has been reached and signed after a revised offer was sent to AS Vita. We are happy with this acquisition and trust that Morrison will have a successful stay at the Club.”
The club chairman also confirmed that with these players heading to Johannesburg, some players will have to make way. “The club will be making an announcement next week regarding the players who will be released,” confirmed Dr Khoza.
Meanwhile, newly appointed Head Coach Muhsin Ertugral is due to arrive at the end of the week to finalise matters ahead of the start of pre-season. The players and rest of the technical staff are expected back on July 4.
