Coldplay to Headline Super Bowl Halftime Show
Coldplay is set to headline the Super Bowl 50 halftime show on CBS, according to multiple media reports.
The Chris Martin-fronted band will play during the National Football League’s championship game on Feb. 7, following the release of their seventh studio album “A Head Full of Dreams” on Dec. 4.
“The halftime show is still being planned and there will be multiple acts,” an NFL representative told TheWrap. “One will be announced tonight.”

Recent Super Bowl halftime performers include Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Beyonce and Madonna.
February’s Super Bowl XLIX, which saw the New England Patriots top the Seattle Seahawks, was the most-watched television broadcast in history with 114.4 million total viewers.
CBS announced last month that a live one-hour special of “The Late Show With
Super Bowl 50 will air on Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
