A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Thursday, December 3, adjourned hearing on the case against the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.
Justice Ademola Adeniyi after hearing submissions of both counsels said hearing will continue on Tuesday, December 8.
The prosecuting counsel, Oladipo Okpeseyi informed the court that he has filed an application for the stay of proceedings of the case before it.
But Ahmed Raji, the defending counsel while confirming the receipt of the application said the issue raised by his colleague is not scheduled in the matter for the day.
To this, Okpeseyi who came in today as a new counsel representing the federal government in his defence said that the court’s order that the travel documents of Dasuki be released was respected.

Okpeseyi said: “To put it on record, the passport of the accused person was never in our custody.”
There was no order of the court that the federal government of Nigeria or the office of the attorney of the federation flouted.
Dasuki is facing charges for illegal arms deals made during his tenure as the NSA. The former NSA was picked up from his home on Tuesday, December 1, by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS).
