Co-Anchor of “America’s Newsroom” and co-host of “The Five” Dana Perino joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on why recent polling indicates abortion is not a top concern for the majority of voters in the upcoming midterm elections.
“So this Dobbs decision comes out late June and then you did see a big increase. And it will make a difference for some voters. And in some very tight elections, it could be the difference maker. It really could. Women over 50 apparently are the most undecided at the moment. And so depending on how things go, that could go their way. But overall, I think for the Democrats who thought abortion was going to be their issue all the way to the bank, it’s not happening, partly because inflation is just crushing everybody. But also because I think once people realized, for example, if you are a pro-abortion person, you live in New York and the Dobbs decision has you really mad, and then you realize, oh wait, nothing changes for me here. Oh, okay. And then it might not be your number one issue anymore. It might be like number five. Because you care about women in Mississippi or something like that. But it’s definitely not what the Democrats thought it would be.”
Dana and Jimmy also talk about how rising gas prices will likely be a political liability for Democrats in November. Listen to the podcast to hear what else she had to say!
