The Iranian Embassy in Armenia informed that an Iranian citizen reported missing after the explosion is in fact in Georgia.
Spokesman for the Ministry of Emergency Situations Hayk Kostanyan said another person who was reported missing said he was not on the territory of Surmalu on Sunday when the explosion occurred.
The number of the dead recovered from under the rubble is unchanged at 16. Fifteen of them have been identified.
The explosion occurred at a fireworks storage at Surmalu shopping center in Armenia’s capital Yerevan on Sunday. It led to the collapse of part of the three-story building that housed fireworks unit. Officials have not yet provided information about what caused the fireworks to ignite, but the emergency minister ruled out a terror attack. -0-
