A former aide to Scott Walker just went on an epic Twitter rant about him
It looks like Scott Walker is dropping out of the presidential race. The Wisconsin governor and former Republican darling has a press conference scheduled for 6 p.m. ET Monday, but those in Walker's circle have already revealed that he feels he no longer has a path to the nomination. Of course, those no longer in his circle — namely, a former aide recently ousted in a high-profile dismissal — also have some thoughts on Walker's demise. Liz Mair, a well-regarded Republican aide Walker hired and then quickly fired, is currently on an epic Twitter rant about her former boss. Some highlights:
Things he got wrong: Misunderstanding the GOP base, its priorities and stances. Pandering. Flip-flopping.

Allowing certain staff (ahem) to marginalize and cut off people in Walker's orbit who had got him to the governorship and kept him there.

But I also feared that the reasons behind his firing of me would be the ultimate causes of his demise. Now that appears to be true.

In any event, he has the capacity to add plenty of value in our political system. But he may need to do a clear-out of advisers...
