A kitchen fire during a private party at a San Ramon restaurant forced the evacuation of about 30 people, fire officials said. One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. The owner of Uncle Yu’s reported the blaze at around 7 p.m. Sunday during a social gathering for the owner’s family, said Dan McNamara, a battalion chief with the San Ramon Valley Fire District. He said firefighters were able to limit the flames to the kitchen and part of the attic. McNamara said the restaurant, on Crow Canyon Place near Interstate 680, will be closed indefinitely.
