Blowing and drifting snow are creating near-zero visibility on slippery roadways, so authorities have closed Interstate 29 from Grand Forks to the Canadian border, while U.S. Highway 2 is closed from Grand Forks to Minot.
The Highway Patrol warns that motorists in no-travel advisory areas who choose to travel at their own risk may become stranded, and emergency responders may not be able to reach them safely.
