Pasadena commemorates former Obama residence
PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — The city of Pasadena has held a ceremony to commemorate a residence where Barack Obama lived during his sophomore year at Occidental College in Los Angeles.
KPCC reports more than 200 people gathered Saturday morning for the dedication of a plaque outside the small apartment building on Glenarm Street.
The plaque notes that the future 44th president of the United States lived at the address in 1980-81 but it does not specify the apartment number to maintain privacy of current tenants.
