Christie, who failed in his own presidential bid, told state officials gathered recently at a conference that he plans to finish his gubernatorial term, which ends in 2018.
Christie, who was not charged and denies wrongdoing in the political payback scheme targeting Fort Lee's Democratic mayor for not endorsing him, has said he was sure the proceedings played some role in him losing out on the vice presidential slot.
The Cabinet meeting came just days after Christie seemed to publicly rebuke Guadagno, who opposed Christie on a transportation funding plan that included a gas tax hike and other tax cuts.
