The nation's weather
A wet weather pattern affected the Northwest on Sunday, while a frontal system stalled out over the northern Gulf of Mexico.
The tail end of this frontal boundary initiated showers and isolated thunderstorms along the western Gulf Coast.
A wave of low pressure also formed along the frontal boundary and began to drift northward over the coasts of Florida and Georgia.
High pressure brought above normal temperatures to the northern section of the central Plains, as well as the upper Midwest.
