Fox Sets Post-NFL Premiere for ‘The Mick,’ Releases New Trailer (Video)
“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s” Kaitlin Olson stars in Fox comedy set to premiere on January 1
Kaitlin Olson‘s new comedy series “The Mick” has landed a New Year’s Day premiere on Fox, following the NFL doubleheader, the network announced on Wednesday.
The series, from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” duo John and David Chernin, will debut on Sunday, Jan. 1 at 8 p.m. PT/ET, then it will make its regular timeslot premiere on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 8:30 p.m. PT/ET.
“The Mick” follows Mackenzie, a.k.a. Mickey (Olson), a brash, two-bit hustler from Rhode Island who must assume guardianship of her sister’s three high-maintenance children.
Produced by 20th Century Fox Television, the series was created and written by the Chernin brothers, who serve as executive producers alongside Nick Frenkel (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”), Oly Obst (“Barely Famous”) and Randall Einhorn (“Nurse Jackie,” “The Office”), who directed the pilot episode.
