75 one-minute plays on ‘Every 28 Hours’
Faultline Theater, American Conservatory Theater, Campo Santo, Crowded Fire Theater, Lorraine Hansberry Theatre and Berkeley Rep. But an even bigger reason to pay attention to this project is its subject matter.
The title comes from the statistic that once every 28 hours in the United States, a black person gets killed by a vigilante or by someone entrusted with public safety, be that a police officer or a security guard.
The show features 75 one-minute plays that respond to that statistic and to the Black Lives Movement more broadly.
