Russell Westbrook, Thunder confirm 3-year, $85.7 million extension
The team confirmed Thursday that Westbrook has signed a three-year contract extension worth a reported $85.7 million.
“I am grateful to extend my contract with the Thunder and continue to play with the only organization that I have played for and have loved being a part of since I was drafted into the NBA,” Westbrook said in a statement.
The five-time All-Star averaged 23.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 10.4 assists last season as the Thunder reached the Western Conference finals, in which they lost in seven games to the Warriors after jumping to a 3-1 series lead.
