A man from New Zealand was killed and a woman was seriously injured when a motorcyclist struck the two on Monday afternoon at an intersection next to San Francisco’s Union Square, authorities said.
The incident unfolded just after 4 p.m. when a 32-year-old man traveling west on Geary Street on a Harley Davidson Dyna Glide motorcycle hit a 60-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman as they walked in a crosswalk at Stockton Street, San Francisco police officials said.
Police officials said the motorcyclist remained at the scene of the collision and was cooperating with investigators.
