Jon Rahm and Billy Hurley III shared the lead at the Quicken Loans National on Friday, three strokes ahead of Vijay Singh going into the weekend at Congressional in Bethesda, Md.
Hurley, a Naval Academy graduate who lives in nearby Annapolis, shot a 6-under 65, and Rahm bogeyed the 18th hole for a 67 in his second round as a professional.
To play golf the way I did today, I’m really proud of myself.
Rahm and Hurley will play in the final group Saturday at Congressional, just behind Singh, who was alone at 8 under after a 66.
Estaban Toledo and Gene Sauers each shot 9-under 63 to share the first-round lead at the American Family Insurance Championship in Madison, Wis.
