#Ramadan Daily: Have you ever heard of the three types of ‘Hadath’ before?
– Wudu’ (water ablution or simply ablution) or Tayyamum (sand ablution) are both used in removing the different types of ‘Hadath’ from the body
– Hadath is an Arabic word for the unwanted end result of metabolic process or waste materials which come out from some parts of a person’s body
Hadath is basically divided into three. These are urine, faeces and fart.

Before a Muslim enters the Masjid to pray or read the Glorious Qur’an or does any act of worship, he should know what to do to remove the three types of ‘Hadath’ from his body, and make himself clean.
A black male with dark hair in a light blue collared shirt paired with light gray pants wearing a pair of yellow rubber gloves and a light green apron smiles in concentration as he cleans and scrubs a gray ceramic toilet seat bowl with a dark gray urinal brush being held by his right hand
In Islam, every single action has ways in which it is done. For instance, the toilet is a place for discharging waste and not a place for talking like the sitting room or the bedroom.
1. Faeces
When a person goes to the toilet or lavatory to defaecate, he has to use water to wash his anus. If he intends to use a tissue paper, he must still use water afterwards. Islam does not allow a person to pass out faeces, without using water to clean himself up.
If a person performs ablution, and then goes to defaecate, he has to perform another ablution, because defaecating vitiates Wudu’ and Tayyamum.
2. Urine
Some people urinate without cleaning up themselves.
Water is always used by Muslims to clean up the organ which discharges out the urine. Also, a Muslim is forbidden from urinating in just any place, like an open place, where everybody going and coming will see him.
The practice of urinating anyhow in the open place or in drainage shows lack of etiquette. Muslims are to use the toilet or any enclosure marked out for this purpose.
3. Fart
Fart is also known as flatulence. It is the offensive smelling gas which is released via the anus. The type of food a person eats often determine how the strong the smell of his fart would be like.
If a person’s fart makes a sound and smells, then he has to perform ablution, if he wants to pray or do any act of worship.
