BART has restored normal service between the Hayward and South Hayward stations after a Fremont-bound train struck a woman on the tracks between the two stations.
Jim Allison, a BART spokesman, said the incident was reported at 10:13 a.m. Emergency crews took the woman to a nearby hospital. Information on her condition, and details of the incident, were not available.
BART halted service after the incident but started running trains on a single track shortly before 11 a.m.
