New York state voters approve 98.5 percent of school budgets

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York voters have approved the vast majority of school budgets proposed by districts across the state.

The New York State School Boards Association reports Wednesday that 98.5 percent of budgets passed Tuesday in a year when the state's tax cap made it particularly challenging to raise local funds.
