Robert Moses’ Kin celebrates 21st anniversary
In celebration of the 21st anniversary of the founding of Robert Moses’ Kin, the company is premiering Moses’ latest dance work, titled appropriately enough, “21 Fully Realized Incomplete Thoughts” at San Francisco’s Z Space.
The evening of work marks a return to ideas and episodes that the prolific and endlessly imaginative Moses says he’s always wanted to return to, including some pieces set to music Moses created himself.
More than just an episodic miscellany, though, “21 Fully Realized Incomplete Thoughts” promises to offer insights into Moses’ evolution as a choreographer, as well as a glimpse into the broad and eclectic variety of topics — from family to fables, from James Baldwin to Lorraine Hansberry — that have sparked his considerable creative output.
