Flamenco Society of San Jose presents ‘Juerga!’
In the flamenco world, a juerga represents a certain kind of free-wheeling informality, and that spirited dynamic is what the Flamenco Society of San Jose is hoping to capture with “Juerga!” in the historic Hoover Theater in San Jose.
The 30-year-old Society holds juergas, a kind of flamenco “jam session,” on the third Saturday of every other month for the artists who teach classes in dance and guitar as well as the more advanced students of the Flamenco Society Academy.
