But the contractor executing the four-lane work of Bhubaneswar-Puri national highway (NH) didn't complete the work and left because buses avoided the toll gate at Pipili and took alternative routes between the state capital and the pilgrim town causing financial loss to it, rural development minister Badrinarayan Patra told this to the assembly, in a written reply, on Monday.
