A man suffered life-threatening injuries in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset neighborhood Thursday afternoon, authorities said, after he ran into the street and was hit by a car, police said.
Around 1 p.m., officers responded to reports of the crash near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Noriega Street, said Officer Grace Gatpandan, a police spokeswoman.
The incident remains under investigation, but it appeared the victim, identified only as an Asian man between 70 and 80 years old, ran in front of a light-colored, 4-door sedan and was struck by the vehicle, Gatpandan said.
